Dorothy W. Carter Pine Bush, NY Dorothy W. Carter a Retired Office Manager for Ellenville National Bank and a longtime resident of the area, passed away on Thursday February 10, 2011 at her home. She was 73. The daughter of the late Raymond James Waite and Hazel Abrahams Waite, she was born on November 30, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA. Dorothy was a 50 year member with the Walker Valley Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, and a Deacon with the New Prospect Reformed Church. Survivors include her 3 sons; Brian K. Carter of Los Angeles, CA, Bruce L. Carter and his wife Jeanmarie Myszak of Pearl River, NY, and Bret R. Carter of Cragsmoor, NY, 1 granddaughter; Zoe A. Carter, and 1 sister Gladys Neubert of Illinois. Dorothy is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by her husband Ernest F. Carter, and her brothers; Raymond and Claude Waite. Visitation will be held on Sunday February 13, 2011 from 2-5 & 7-9 at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham RD Pine Bush, NY. The Walker Valley Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary will be conducting a prayer service at 7:30pm. Funeral Services will take place on Monday February 14, 2011 at 12:00pm at the New Prospect Reformed Church with Pastor Paul Rosa officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
