Obituary of Julia Abatangelo

Julia Abatangelo “Judy” Maybrook, NY Julia Abatangelo a Homemaker and long time resident of the area, passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown with her family by her side. She was 82. The daughter of the late Charles Guerra and Vita Holbrook, she was born on October 23, 1933 in Queens, NY. Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Angelo at home, her 4 children; Fred Abatangelo and his wife Joanne of Maybrook, Vita Sarvaideo and her husband Paul of Maybrook, Andrew Abatangelo and his wife Patricia of Montgomery, Jeanne Martinez and her husband Gil of Maybrook. 9 grandchildren, Jacqueline Quist and her husband Jeff, Stephen Abatangelo and his wife Christina, Nicholas, Dana, Drew, Leah, Olivia, Thomas and Matthew. 3 great grandchildren; Logan, Trever, and Ariana. Judy is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother, Fred Guerra. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 10, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday March 11, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Catholic Church, 211 Homestead Ave., Maybrook, New York 12543. Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wurtsboro. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Judy’s name to the: Hudson Valley Honor Flight, PO Box 375, Walden NY 12586.
