Mary C. Neusaenger, beloved Aunt and friend passed away on April 10, 2016 at the Montgomery Nursing Home in Montgomery, NY. She was 87. The daughter of the late Patrick Gilmore and Marie Duffy Gilmore, she was born on April 6, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. The family moved to Pine Bush in 1959 where Mary worked at Sabelo Fashions and L&W Clothing Factories. She met and married William Neusaenger in July 1974 and was a wonderful care giver to her husband when he became bedridden up until his passing in 1998. Mary was a past member of the Pine Bush Hook and Ladder Co#1, Ladies Auxiliary for many years where she marched and won many trophies with the members. She was also a member of the Mountainview United Methodist Church of Pine Bush and enjoyed her snacks after services, and working the Oyster Fry’s. Mary was dearly beloved by her brother and sister in law, Crawford and Julia Gillespie who predeceased her. Survivors include her loving niece, Lois Grossi and her husband Joe of Pine Bush, great niece, Judy Parsells and her husband Jeff, their children, Crystal and John Parsells, Bryan Yannantuono, great nephews, Joseph Grossi and his wife Kira of Montgomery, Quentin Gillespie and his wife Missy of Middletown, Kevin Gillespie and his wife Crystal of Port Jervis, great niece, Valerie Woods and her husband Jehremie of Fountain Florida, cousins; Margaret Szemplenski of Green Acres, Florida, and Elnora (Ellie) Bonney of Middletown. Mary was predeceased by her niece Peggy Hackett and nephews, Charles and Donald Gillespie. Mary also leaves behind her many friends at Bush Gardens, Mountainview Methodist Church, and the Montgomery Nursing Home. Thank you to all the Angels who took care of her these past years and especially these past few months. Margaret, Maureen, Kim, and Dr. Kamthan who gave Mary extra time to be with us. Mary will always be remembered for her quick witt and friendly smiles. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 13, 2016 from 4-6pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY 12566. Fellowship and celebration of Mary’s life will immediately follow the visitation at the Pine Bush Fire Dept Social Hall. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Mary’s memory to the Montgomery Nursing Home Activity Fund. 2817 Albany Post Road , Montgomery NY 12549.
