Obituary of Patricia Starr-King

Patricia Starr-King “Patsy” Walker Valley, NY Patricia Starr-King “Patsy” as she was mostly known as, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 23, 2016. She was 73. The daughter of the late Elizabeth and Alexander Rock, she was born on March 19, 1943 in Bronx, NY. Patsy was a Elder at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Thompson Ridge. She was the epitome of strength, surviving multiple battles with cancer from the young age of 30 along with heart complications. Patsy always put others first and had the ability to brighten any room with her radiating positivity and cheerfulness. She had a strong passion for baking, puzzles and crafting with her church ladies but, her greatest pleasure in life was being surrounded by family and surrounding them in her endless love. Survivors include her son; James Starr and his wife Cheryl of Pine Bush, daughter; Barbara Starr-Carroll and her husband Paul of Pine Bush, her grandchildren; Jack, Ashley,Amanda, Amber, Justin, Falyn, Maya, Angela, Amy, Shannon and Mikey, her 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sisters, Barbara Rickard and her husband Victor of Portage, PA and sister Elizabeth Theel of Sheds, NY. Patsy is predeceased by her late husband James Starr Jr., her second husband William King, and her son Danny, brothers; Fred Rock and Warren Rock, and sister; Joan Plunkett. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 27, 2016 from 2-6pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. Funeral Services will be offered at 5:30pm at the funeral home with Pastor Ginny Esposito officiating. Burial will immediately take place after the services at 6:15pm in New Prospect Cemetery.
