Obituary of Stephen D. Joy Jr.

Stephen D. Joy Jr. Pine Bush, NY Stephen D. Joy Jr. a lifelong resident of the area passed away on Saturday September 17, 2016 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was 48. The son of Constance Brown White and Stephen Joy Sr., he was born on January 1, 1968 in Middletown, NY. Stephen worked as an EMT in Middletown for Elliot’s Ambulance and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption in Bloomingburg. Survivors include his mother Constance White and her husband Robert of Pine Bush, father, Stephen Joy Sr., brother, Allan Speirs and wife Gina of Pine Bush, nephew, William Speirs and Logan Clarke, niece Anika Clarke, and best friend, Dawn Anderson. Stephen is further survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William and Isabella Brown, his aunt, Madeline Freeman, and his cousin and best friend, Paul Roe. Friends and family may gather in celebration on Thursday September 22, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY. A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday September 23, 2016 at 10am at Our Lady of the Assumption RC Church in Bloomingburg.
