James J. Raponi, a Musician and Lifelong resident of the area and passed away on Monday September 26, 2016 at Albany Medical Center. He was 66. The son of Gidio Raponi and the late Ethel Frances Carden Raponi, he was born on February 8, 1950 in Middletown, NY. Survivors include his wife Katherine at home, his children; Tonia Covert of Searsville, Lacey and Melanie Raponi of Thompson Ridge, 3 grandchildren; Christopher, Jaysen, and Madisyn, and numerous friends and cousins. Graveside services will be held on Friday September 30, 2016 at 11am at the Hopewell Cemetery in Thompson Ridge.
