Obituary of Paul F. Schick

Paul Francis Schick Sr. Middletown, NY Paul Francis Schick, Sr. of Middletown, NY passed away after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 with his wife, children and grandchildren at his side. He was 73 years old. The son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Schick, Paul was born on September 5, 1943 in Callicoon, NY. Paul was the owner operator of P. Schick & Sons and CJS Enterprises. He enjoyed a lifelong career of driving "Big Rigs" and was known on the road as "Kangaroo". He found great joy on the open road and exploring new places. He also loved boating and cruising the high seas. Paul's other love was to spend time and share stories with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchild. He was a loving man with a large heart, he would do anything for anyone, a stranger soon became family. Paul was a devoted husband to Adrienne Neumann Schick. They celebrated more than 50 loving years together. Survivors include his wife Adrienne, his children Lisa Bodary ( Mike), Stacey Schick, Paul Schick (Dawn) Christopher Schick ( Barbara) and Stephanie Alessi (Charles). Grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher (Michelle) and Jeffrey Bodary, Olivia and Evan Wojciechowicz, Austin Schick, Kyle and Ryan Schick, Ashlyn and Dana Alessi, one Great Grandchild Norah Bodary, as well as his beautiful sisters Rita (Eugene) Kolbe, Anita Robertson, Theresa Schick, Frances (Dan) DiSenso and Betsi Olmstead (Ron). He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Friday January 20, 2017 at William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush, NY 12566. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9 am on Saturday January 21, 2017 at St Paul's Catholic Church, 2800 Rt. 17K, Bullville, NY 10915. Cremation will follow at Cedar Hill Crematory.
