Obituary of William Fee

William “Bill” Fee

William Fee, a longtime resident of the area, passed away after a two year battle with M.D.S (a pre leukemia disease) at his home on Monday October 9, 2017.  He was 79.  The son of the late Joseph and Elsie Fee, he was born on September 13, 1938 in NYC.  Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Arlene Fee, his son Kenneth W. Fee and his wife Jeanine, daughter, Lorrie Dana and her husband Fred, daughter, Cathy Dudley and her husband Dennis, grandchildren, Matthew Dudley, Jared Dana and his wife Angie, Emily Botrous and her husband Zaher, and Danica Piselli-Fee, Greatgrandchildren, Harlie Dana, John Dana, and Hannah Botrous, brother, Joseph Fee and his wife Mary, niece, Donna McCarty and her husband John, niece, Dara Mullen and her husband Colin, nephew Danny Fee and his wife Pam, brother in law, Ronald Sauer and wife Nancy.  Bill is also survived by many cousins. After marriage Bill and Arlene moved to Montgomery when Bill joined the Coldenham Fire Dept around 1960, where he held the office of Vice President, Lieutenant, Captain, and Assistant Chief.  In 1966 he started his own Building Construction business. In 1973 after moving to Crawford, he joined the Bullville Fire Co. as a Charter Member. He served as Assistant Chief for 2 years, then as Chief from 1977-1979, then served a 5 year term as Fire Commander.  He was appointed to the Town of Crawford Zoning Board of Appeals in 1984 as Chairman. He was awarded the David “Allee” award for Zoning Board Chair. He was appointed to the Board of Assessors and served on the ZBA (Zoning Board of Appeals) for 31 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 15, 2017 from 2-5pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. Funeral services will be offered on Monday October 16, 2017 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Bloomingburg Cemetery.
