Frank A. Drabik Pine Bush, NY Frank A. Drabik, a longtime resident of the area passed away on Monday January 18, 2010 at St Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall Campus. He was 94. The son of the late Andre Drabik and Maria Kolveck Drabik, he was born on November 1, 1915 in NYC. Frank served his country from 1943 to 1946 in the US Army Air Corp and was a member of the Pine Bush VFW Post 5492. He also was a 32 year member of the Church of the Infant Saviour Parish, 20 years of which he served as the “Candle Man”. Survivors include his loving son, Bob and his wife Eileen of Pine Bush, loving daughter Eleanor Speier and her husband Steve, also of Pine Bush, 4 loving granddaughters, Lorraine Arbour Snead and her husband Gene, Eileen Hans and her husband Gary, Linda Drabik, and Suzanne Drabik. Frank is further survived by 5 great grandchildren, Natalie, Sam and Jack Snead, and Julia and Andrew Hans. Frank is predeceased by his wife Mary to whom he was married for 65 years, and his grandson Jeffrey Arbour. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 20, 2010 from 2-4 &7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham RD Pine Bush, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 21, 2010 at 10:00am at the Church of the Infant Saviour with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.
