Joseph M. Hartmann, a Retired Electrical Engineer Civilian Employee for West Point and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Sunday January 6, 2019 at The Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty, NY. He was 82. The son of the late Harry Hartmann and Jeanette Raynor Hartmann he was born on March 19, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY. Joseph was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his beloved  wife of 51 years, June at home, and his loving daughter, Elizabeth Manzella and her husband  Keith of Warwick. Joseph was predeceased by his sister, Eleanor Armstrong. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 11am at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Middletown with Deacon Jack Carr officiating.
