Hadn't seen JJ in a long time but we did talk on phone every once a while I'm gonna miss those calls. JJ rode with me to OCCC for about two years and we became pretty tight. JJ was well read, articulate, and a great guy to have those intellectual conversations with. Here's a quick JJ and Eric story. Late one night hangin' at his parents bar... It wasn't crowded, just a couple other people hangin' out and getting pretty drunk. We were hitting on the same girl(she will remain anonymous) and verbally sparring with each other. Next thing I know I come out of the bathroom and for whatever drunken reason JJ comes lunging at me. We were so drunk it wasn't really a fight but more like a wrestling match. The girl said, "Isn't someone going make them stop?" I remember Eric Palazolo saying "Pretty sure they're too drunk to really hurt each other." JJ called me the next morning and I hung up on him. I couldn't stay mad at him and like two days after all was good between us. He was a good friend and I will miss those calls every once in a while.
