To say I loved you would be an understatement - and to say I'm going to miss you would be an even greater understatement. I cannot begin to imagine not having you on the other end of the phone, to chat with, ask advice/help, or to fill in on one of the kids achievements. You loved having Tj every summer to take camping and goto car shows....I'm so grateful you had that time together and Tj will forever have those experiences and memories to hold on to! You loved Maddy and Ally just the same especially when they'd get bickering and fighting like sisters do. I'm told Ally's a little mini me and she really took to you as you 2 had the same sense of humor- She always managed to make you laugh! But they all put a smile on your face even when you weren't feeling your best. Tom & I are lucky that you passed on so much of your knowledge and skills to us working on the cars and of course after we bought our 1st home.
I'm finding little reminders of you everywhere I go, like seeing an older car driving down the road, a song on the radio, when making the kids a sandwich with your favorite land o'lakes cheese, & especially while watching the boats out on the water. I know as time passes these reminders will bring me peace, but for now my heart is broken. I'm glad your fight is over and you are no longer suffering, rest easy till we meet again. I love you!

I thank God every day that I was able to say goodbye to before your soul was lifted up to the pearly gates of heaven to be with other loved ones. You fought hard and tough and bravely too but this insidious ferocious nasty disease took yet another loved one from us... I wonder everyday why there still isn’t a cure after all these years. Just know that I loved you dearly. I remember the tractor ride thru the field you took us to many years ago with my boys to pick pumpkins. They had so much fun. I remember the time I came out of a public bathroom...at a funeral I might add.... with my skirt tucked into the back of my underwear... boy I never lived that one down! You had this eccentric humorous personality that always had us laughing that I will miss. I am going to miss you because you were like a father to me more than my own. You were in our lives for years as a child and even when you left and as I grew into an adult I could always take you aside when I was in need of someone that understood my situation and feelings of hurt fullness and turn it around and just make me feel better about myself and allow the pain to dissipate. I am especially grateful for those times. I am also happy you found love again after your beloved Bonnie was taken from you. The mold was broke when they made you and no one will ever come close to the amazing uncle you were. My heart is still like mush and a tear comes to my eye every time I think of you but I have my memories. I loved you with all I had and I’m sure you knew that. I will miss you always❤️

Thank you uncle Jim for being the man you were. I am much of who I am today because of you. I love you and will miss you dearly. You were my uncle but more like a father to me. Fly high and save me a seat. I will see you on the other side. I’m trying to find peace and comfort in knowing your fight is over. Till we meet again, I love you uncle Jim.

I was blessed to have had a chance to get to know the man that was my father! I come to find out he was a very caring and loving person he was!! I'm glad that my daughter had the chance to get to know him also. What I'm trying to say is he will live on in his children's heart for eternity!! I love you and I will miss you!! Sorry we didn't have more time but the time I had will be cherished for life. Rest easy old man!! Love you and miss you already!
