Today we buried my father Kurt Grimm. He is and was an amazing Husband, father , grandfather and brother. During this time we could not have all his family and friends there but when it’s over we will do a memorial for him. We were able to see him and have a short blessing from the priest. He suffered with dementia for years and I really believe he is at peace now and is back to his old quiet and loving self. Dad we love you and you are in heaven with loved ones and I know you will be looking down on us with every ounce of love that was truly you. One day we will see you again and embrace you with our love. It is never goodbye. ❤️❤️❤️

Lois, our condolences to you and the family. Growing up, there were many fond memories of the Grimm family. Kurt was always a pleasant individual who cared for people. Spent many enjoyable evenings listening to Kurt, Butch and Hank play. Kurt always had a warm greeting every time we met. Thanks for his service to the community as a trooper and an individual. He will be in our prayers, as well as the family. God Bless. Bob and Carolyn Bender.

Will certainly miss "How ya doin?" whenever Kurt greeted us. He was always great to talk to and welcoming to his homes in Pine Bush and upstate. Reading all the tributes to him I realized he was deeply cared for by his colleagues and friends. But the quiet peaceful man also had a deep love for Lois, Cheryl KurtII and his grandchildren. Every picture you see with them there is a smile on his face. So now his journey on earth has ended. I'm sure God has welcomed him with open arms and has given him a few things around "His House" to repair. Rest in peace dear Kurt, til we all meet again. Se Ya! With our love, Betsy, Michael and family.

My sympathy to all of Kurt's family on their loss. I worked with Kurt for most of my 30 years in the State Police. He was a true professional and a real friend who was always the guy to go to for information and always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He was respected and liked by all who worked with him. My late brother was a T/Sgt. who worked next door to Kurt for years and who will be happy to see him again. Kurt was one of the best and exemplified what the State Police was really about. I will miss him also.

As Police Chief in Highland Falls from 1982 to 1999, Sgt. Grimm was always a resource when we needed to deal with highway issues and always quick to offer help. I recall he was also a musician, but never had the opportunity to hear him perform. Honked to him as we passed your camp on Northshore Rd on the way to ours. May he Rest In Peace and you be comforted by his life.

Lois, Kurt Jr and Cheryl,
We are so sad to hear of Uncle Kurt's passing. I have nothing but fond memories of him while spending time at your house in the summer, swimming in the Pond, feeding hots dogs to the Bass, riding on his tractor, snowmobiling in the winter and blasting "smoke on the water" from his huge Amps on my guitar in your basement. He was a "kind soul" of a man, huge in stature and strength but filled with compassion and understanding. He is at peace now, probably lining up a "wedding gig" or taking his boat out for a ride on the lake. RIP, uncle Kurt. We will miss you!

I worked with Kurt most of my career, from having him as an instructor at the academy until his retirement. A kind man who was always there with answers to questions and always ready to talk about his family, his canvas projects, and the cabin. It seems like only yesterday. My sincere condolences for your loss. Ronnie Timoner
