Vincent J. Baiano, a longshoreman
for the Brooklyn Ship Yard and longtime resident of the area,
passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Orange Regional
Medical Center in Middletown. He was 85. Vincent was born on
September 10, 1926 in Brooklyn NY and was an honorary member of the
Knights of Columbus, member of the New York Shipping ILA, the
NRA, and a Volunteer Police Officer in Brooklyn. Survivors
include his wife Mary Ellen at home, daughter; Susan Mongiello and
her husband John of Staten Island, son; John Baiano and wife
Barbara of Staten Island, 3 step-sons; Michael Carter and his wife
Jennifer of Wurtsboro, Aarron Carter of Maybrook, and Christopher
Haight of Deland, Florida and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren,
and great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Filomena, Domenica, and Rose.
He was predeceased by 2 sons; Blaze and Vincent Baiano, and 1
sister, Justina. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February
14, 2012 from 4-8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525
Burlingham Rd. Pine Bush. Funeral Services will be conducted
at 7:30pm with Pastor Robert Meyer officiating. Cremation
will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh.
