Obituary of Anthony J. Kilian

Anthony J. Kilian Sr. Pine Bush, NY Anthony Joseph Kilian Sr., best known to all as Tony, passed at home on December 25, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born on March 5, 1937 in Queens, NY to Henry and Anne Kilian, and was one of five children. Tony graduated from Chelsea Career and Technical High School in Manhattan in 1955 and went on to work for the United Steelworkers of America Union as a steelworker. As a child, Tony spent summer vacations with his family at Fiscarelli Farms in Pine Bush, NY and because he enjoyed it so much he purchased a summer home in Walker Valley in 1962. This home would later become his permanent residence when he and his wife Carol moved there in 1972. He retired from the Steelworkers’ union in 1982 and opened his business EZ Liner Corporation which now operates as 17K EZ Storage in Bullville, NY. Tony also spent several years as a volunteer for the Walker Valley Fire Department. He always had a joke to tell and enjoyed good conversations with his many friends and neighbors. He will always be remembered for this by those who knew and loved him. Survivors include his loving wife Carol Kilian, his son Anthony J. Kilian, Jr. (AJ) and his wife Jennifer, his sister Marjorie Silvernail, brother-in-law Peter Calabrese and his wife Wanda, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his twin brother Frank Kilian, brother Robert Kilian, and sister Rosemary Chiofalo as well as two nephews Ralph “Buddy” Silvernail and Robert Kilian, Jr. Visitation will be held on Sunday January 3, 2021 from 2 - 5 pm at William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. A memorial service will be held at 4:30pm at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions capacity is limited. Face mask and social distance requirements mandated by NYS are in effect.
