Jerry M. Van Duzer Pine Bush, NY JERRY M. VAN DUZER, 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Meadows at Brookmeade nursing home facility in Rhinebeck, New York. He is survived by nephew Russell Jeck and wife Barbarann Tantillo; nieces Debra Macon and husband Steven Macon; Teddi Averin and fiancé Raymond Brown; Paula Jeck; Amy Michaels and husband Kevin Michaels; three great nephews, Tyler, Zachary, and Jared; and one great niece, Ashley. Jerry was predeceased by his brother David; sister, Ann Jeck and her husband, Francis Cook; and by one great nephew, Travis. Born on June 25, 1942 in Endicott, New York to Millard and Pauline Van Duzer, Jerry was a long-time resident of Pine Bush, New York. Earning a Master of Science degree from SUNY, Binghamton, he taught business classes at Pine Bush High School for 28 years. Having had a passion for genealogy, Jerry was a member of a number of genealogical societies, including the National Genealogical Society; the Connecticut Society of Genealogists, Inc.; the New England Historic Genealogical Society; the Sullivan County Historical Society; and The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record. He enjoyed travelling the country researching various genealogical projects. Additionally, Jerry was affiliated with the Pine Bush Teachers’ Association Retiree Chapter; The Lion’s Club; Germania of Poughkeepsie, Inc.; and The Steuben Society of America.
