Isolde Pedersen a retired bus driver for Marl Brothers in Pine
Bush and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Saturday
April 14, 2012 at Achieve Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in
Liberty. She was 86. The daughter of the late Samuel
Polan and Elizabeth Carstens Polan, she was born on June 17, 1925
in Union City, NJ. Sandy was a member of the Church of the
Infant Saviour in Pine Bush, and also the Mamakating Seniors.
Survivors include her children Gary Pedersen and his wife Catherine
of South Carolina, John Pedersen and his wife Marianne of
Pine Bush, and Deborah Austin and her husband Greg of Texas,
brother, Stanley Polan and his wife Therese of
Pennsylvania, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1
great-great grandchild, and also many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband George Pedersen. Visitation
will be held on Monday April 16, 2012 from 6-9pm at the William M.
Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. A
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 17, 2012 at 10am
at the Church of the Infant Saviour with Fr. Kevin Gallagher
officiating. Burial will take place in New Prospect Cemetery.
