Jean Curry
Walden, NY
Jean Curry, a retired Home Health Aid and longtime resident of
the area, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at
St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 73.
The daughter of the late James Andrew Curry and Helen Calyer Curry,
she was born on September 4, 1938 in Plattekill, NY. Jean was
a member of the People's Regular Baptist Church in Maybrook, the
Senior Citizens of Walden, and she was very active in the Board of
Election Polls. Survivors include her sister; Sarah Curry Helms of
Pine Bush, niece; Vicky Huebsch and her husband Lester of Pine
Bush, nephews; Donald Helms of Florida, James Blum and his wife
Darlene of Missouri, and Michael Blum and his wife Emily of
California. She is further survived by her great nephews; Eric Hall
and his wife Kelli, Cory Helms, and Michael Blum, great nieces;
Samantha and Dorianne Blum, great-great nephews; Peyton and Wyatt
Hall. Jean was predeceased by her brother, James H. Curry and
her niece Lisa Helms. A Memorial Service will be held on
Thursday May 3, 2012 at 1:00pm at the People's Regular Baptist
Church, 306 Homestead Ave, Maybrook NY 12543. Pastor Tim
Mowers will be officiating. Cremation was private and at the
convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the
