Obituary of Carole Wippel

Carole J. Wippel Port Charlotte, Florida Formerly of Pine Bush, NY Carole J. Wippel, 77, passed away May 15, 2012, at the Peace River Regional Medical Center, Port Charlotte, Florida. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, January 31, 1935 to Charles and Catherine Hudson. In 1959 she moved with her husband Frank and their son Frankie to Pine Bush, NY, to raise their family in this great country setting. Shortly after moving to Pine Bush, Carole gave birth to two more children, Paul and Jeannette. Carole worked for many years in the Pine Bush Schools as a Para Professional where she absolutely cared and adored for the students in her school. Carole will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who showed unconditional love for her family and was a true friend. She leaves behind her husband Frank to grieve, and sons Frank Wippel (Jen) of Pleasant Valley, NY; Paul Wippel (Shirley) of Pine Bush, NY; and daughter Jeannette Van Winkle (William) of Central Valley, NY; along with six grandsons who where the love of her life: John, Michael, Zachary, Kevin, Brian, and Andrew. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Fagan (Tom) of Port Charlotte, FL and her brother-in-law Duncan Lay of Port Charlotte, FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Hudson and her sister Margaret (Max) Lay. Family and friends are welcome to her memorial service at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home in Pine Bush on Saturday, June 23 2012 from 10-11am. Graveside service will follow at 11:30am at the New Prospect Cemetery, Pine Bush. It was Carole's request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center both organizations were close to her heart.
