Geraldine “Gerry” Piche, a lifelong resident of Pine Bush, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 1, 2022. She was born on January 19, 1935 in Teaneck, NJ to the late William and Hazel Sorensen. Gerry was a retired teacher in the Pine Bush School District. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, William Piche and her sister Joyce Sorensen Welch. Survivors include her children, Suzanne (Eugene) Blick of Maryland, Holly (Leo) Porkka of Wisconsin, and Jeffrey (Sita Tomson) Piche of Pine Bush. Gerry is further survived by her grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Will, Wes, David, and Tom. The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to Heather, Laurie, Kathleen, Lorna, and Melanie of Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties.
