Tom was a great person with a good soul.
He is missed weekly at the Wednesday night golf league. The golf league has been renamed in Tom’s name.

Rest in peace and thank you for always seeing the humor in some pretty bad situations. Transportation is not fun but you always made it fun. You helped me hold my anger in check when we where arguing with the Teamsters. It was an honor to work with you and Prayers for you and your family.

I am currently living in North Carolina. This news broke my heart ❤️ Tom, was the one who gave me the opportunity of being part of the YRC family, and for that I will always be grateful. This is such a tragic loss, Tom was a very special individual, and would go the extra mile for his people he was a great leader and always had his door open for anyone who needed to discuss anything. Tom will forever be missed mainly by me Eban Carrion. RIP my good friend, and may you continue to be that good leader that you have always been in heaven

Tom went above and beyond for us when we were missing machines that we supposed to be delivered to our store from Yellow Frieight. He always showed up with a smile. He was one of the good ones and we will miss him so much.

To the family & friends of Tom: I am SO sorry for your loss. I worked for Mr. Kirby (as I always called him) for many years at Yellow Freight. He was an excellent boss, always treated me with respect and appreciation. His passing saddens me greatly. I will never forget him. RIP, Mr. Kirby.
