Lucy and I met as teenagers working at our first part-time jobs at the ol' A&P grocery store in 1963. Years later, we reconnected when I found out she was the sister of my sister's best friend Dottie! Love, kindness, great personalities run in this family, and Dottie is a close friend to me now as well.
As much sadness as I have coming to grips with her passing, I will always carry a smile in my heart for Cookie. I'm only one of many who will miss her.
Love, hugs, and condolences to all who share this grief.

I knew "Cookie" through her sister Dottie and also my sister Dorothy who remembers her as "The Plaid Stamp Girl" when they both worked at a Middletown market many years ago. Although I didn't know her well, I know she lived life to the fullest and left a loving daughter and two cherished grand children as her living legacy.
My sincere condolences to the family.

I'm deeply saddened by the news of Lucy's passing. I was fortunate to work with Lucy for many years at Fishkill National Bank where I learned so much from her. Our annual Christmas and birthday messages will be missed. My most sincere condolences.

Lucy (Cookie) was my first cousin. Our fathers were brothers. It's ironic after many years, Lucy and I spent some time together in Florida (my home). I was waiting to see her this year but I guess God had another idea. Lucy say hello to all our family in heaven. RIP Ro

I had the pleasure of working with Lucy for many years during out time together at the Federal Reserve. Her favorite topics of discussion were those two grandchildren of hers and her daughter Karen. Lucy's face would brighten with each sentence. I knew absolutely every milestone that little Tyler went through. There has never been a prouder grandmother than Lucy! I will miss that laugh of hers and that lovely smile.
May you rest in peace Lucy. My prayer is that God may grant the family and host of friends peace at this time. You all have my condolences.

I was lucky enough to work with Lucy at the Fed. I enjoyed her enthusiasm and shared some good laughs. I am shocked as I was unaware of her battle with cancer. I hope that her family finds peace and remembers this unique and loveable lady they called Cookie.
RIP Lucy.
